Hi, thats very sad to hear. my case has been very easy compared to some. All I can say is dont give up, fight the good fight in court, and clear your name. I hope you are represented by a solicitor/barrister?

I am assuming after the fact finding, they will probably do a section 7 report with cafcass. honesty is the best policy. cafcass were very reasonable with me and clearly saw there is no safety concerns with me and my children. they did not even bother to mention some of the dumb allegations as they had nothing to do with the children.

Hi there

This must be incredibly hard for you, but if you read through past posts, you will see that there are many Dads that find themselves in the same situation... having to defend themselves against false allegations, when they have been the victims of domestic abuse.

It might be a good idea to contact Mens Aid, they might be able to offer support, as they help male victims of domestic abuse.

www.mensaid.co.uk

It might be worth checking back over past communication from your ex, such as texts, this can be a source of evidence to show the abuse and coercive control that went on during your relationship.

It might also help to attend a Families Need Fathers meeting in your area, where you’ll get advice and support from others in a similar situation. Here’s a link to their website where you’ll find details of meetings nationally, hopefully there will be one near you.

The family court moves very slowly, where allegations have been made they have to be careful to safeguard the children, the only way to do this is to make detailed investigations and ask for reports etc.

Try to stay child focused and not spend time worrying about your ex’s case and what she is doing and saying... concentrate on putting the best case forward that you can and deal with each step one at a time, without trying to second guess what might happen in the future.

All the best
