My wife has made the following false allegations,
1. That I self harm by cutting myself with a bread knife
2. That I drink to excess every night
3. That I lock our daughter in her room (The door is not lockable)
4. That I smash the house up
5. That I am a racist (in a former job I was the departmental equalities/diversity lead)
Other than deny these what else can I or should I be doing.
i have just had all this in court. The Judge let CAFCASS do there checks and if they come up fine i expect no issues. it is very easy to make things up but if no proof it is pointless. Ignore it if untrue
hi,
if allegations are nonsense, deny them without going into any explanations. focus more on kids. talk about the kids and what arrangements you think are in their best interests.
tips for talking to Cafcass: http://www.thecustodyminefield.com/flapp/tipsmeetingcafcass.html
The court can only take action on allegations that have been proven:
1. There is factual evidence that an event took place.
2. There is factual or corroborated statements from the respondent of what was said and took place.
Save your breath and energy by blanket denying any allegations that lack a factual basis.
It might be worth letting us know where you are in this situation. Are you in the court system? Was your wife interviewed by CAFCASS for a section 7 report? Is your wife looking to get a fact finding hearing?
Hope to help
Thanks
