[Solved] My ex has changed surname of my son ? Help

Early this year I applied for parental reponsibility whilst applying for a court order to see him. Without permission she has changed the surname.

Our son had a double barrel surname ' both mine and hers' . Now he has only her surname.

we broke up before our son was born and i am not on the birth certificate ( mothers choice i had no say. not married. )

I have always paid maintance from day one and still do so never missing a single payment.

The court have given me a court order to see him which i do every 2 weeks.
Has she broken the law ?

I cannot afford a solicitor and do all my own legal paper work.

I ask for advice please ?

Did you get PR before she changed your child's name? If so, then she's not allowed to do so without your permission, and the first step is to point this out to her and ask her to change it back.

If you have PR then your ex cannotl legally change your child's name without your permission.
She can make your child known by any name she chooses (as could you) unless there is a court order in place that has a notice attached to say the parents cannot make the child known by any other name
