My daughter lives with her mother and her brother and sister currently the kids are on a social services protective order from there mother as she has had problems in the past of neglect I have been seeing my daughter since last April as my ex would not let me see her since she was 3 months old now I see her every weekend but she is been beaten by her mother and I have raised this with the social worker I am at my wits end not knowing what to do for the best do I call the police help is what I need plus when my daughter was born my ex put her then partner as the dad on her birth certificate I have had a legal dna test done just to get her name changed to mine on her certificate but that is the least of my problems my daughters welfare is at risk and all the social worker can say is I cannot get to see her this week

You've got a few routes to take.....

You can ask the police to do a welfare check if you have imminent concerns

You can speak with Children's Services

You can make an emergency court application if you believe your child to be in immediate danger

If you manage to get contact and don't feel safe returning her, you would do the last step above and let CS know what you are doing.......there isn't a guarantee the court would place the child with you, but they would do so temporarily and ask CS to step in

If you are on the birth cert, you should now have Parental Responsibility

Hi there

Yoda has given you some good advice.

This must be terribly worrying for you, does your daughter have visible signs of being beaten? If she does I would advise that you photograph them, and take her straight to A&E to get them looked at. The hospital has a duty of care and will report it to child protection services, I would then advise that you keep hold of her and apply for an urgent no notice application for a Child Arrangements Order to state that she stays with you and a Prohibited Steps Order to prevent her removal from your care.
