I have spoken to the DS, Police today he was very helpful and really seemed to be trying hard to get supervised contact but social services and my daughter mother have said No, while the investigation is going on.

Apparently social services have been emailing the DS back and forth a lot, he did stress he was trying to get a conclusion by Christmas, (which would make 1 month total time approximately) this seems quite short for a serious case, is it a good sign? i.e they have DNA tested and found it to all be bullshit? or has the devil convinced social services so well that they will push for conviction by Christmas. It's hard to tell anymore what is good news or bad news.

I hope they do get it all sorted by Christmas for you. If it’s not going to the CPS that’s possible. I’m glad things have changed since my friend went through this, he was on bail for 6 months and it was torture. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Surely it would go to CPS?
Or would they make a decision without going

all evidence would have to be provided to CPS if police want to go ahead with charge...if police have said it bullshit then they wont waste their time with cps especially if they are pushing for contact

I was going to say surely they would wait for forensics which take months computer wise I guess DNA is quicker though.

If they were happy to push for supervised contact they can't be too concerned about me their end

Even if it is sent to the CPS it doesn’t mean you will definitely be charged. Examination of electronic equipment can take a while but I thought it was a standard thing to check in all cases like this. If they took any electronic items away chances are they will be checking them.

The last email I had seemed like they were trying to expedite things before Christmas

Do they always pass to the CPS? or sometimes they deal with it themselves if they dont think there is enough evidence.

I received a letter from my solicitor he seems to think it will be NFA but you can never tell in these situations, do they account for social services input? or try to gather some form of physical evidence to prove.

I can only speak from personal experience. In his case the whole investigation took a little over 4 months and was then sent to the CPS who took a couple of weeks to come back NFA. I am not sure if cases are always sent to the CPS but he was told quite early on that his would be. The police did a thorough investigation, they interviewed several parties and examined a laptop and phone that they seized (this took ages). I can totally appreciate what you are going through, this time last year he was in the same boat and it was horrible. Thankfully he’s now totally exonerated and I hope the same happens for you.

Not for those 4 months and a long time after. Still not seeing them in fact. But his case is different to yours

I totally agree with you and in his case his ex gets away with it all, no repercussions, nothing. She lied to the police, the courts, social workers, counsellors, schools and no one cares.
