My childs mother wont let me see my son i want to go for access but im not sure how it will work as they live in ireland.
She has been blackmailing me to give her money, basically if i pay i can see him the thing is i was giving her money £100 per month while she claimed single parent benefits I have proof of this but then i lost my job, i started giving her £25 out of my giro every 2 weeks which if you check the child mantainace calculator it say I should be only giving her £7 a week and she then started saying for the period that i was out of work I owed her money and until I paid that money to her I would not see him so I then stopped giving her money period because I started giving her the £25 and asking if I could see him but she refused so i felt like i was being blackmailed I have put the money that i was going to give her for him aside but now I just dont know what to do anymore I havent seen him since September and he is only 2 and a half
If she's in ROI, then it might be worth contacting reunite - www.reunite.org as the courts in England won't have any jurisdiction over ROI. If she's in Northernn Ireland, then I would contact the family mediation to see what they suggest - www.nfm.org.uk - the distance is going to make it difficult in any circumstance I'm afraid.
