[Solved] Moving away

My ex and I split up over 5 years ago. She now wants to take my 9 year old Son from his home in Southport to live in the Isle of Wight. Can I stop the planned move as I have him every other weekend at the moment without fail and will find it impossible to keep that level of contact.

Hi there

What are the reasons she cites for the move...if it was for a job or to be closer to her family then it's highly unlikely that you would be able to stop her.

You can apply to the courts for an urgent Prohibited Steps Order if you feel the move is imminent. Otherwise you can attend mediation to try and get some agreement, if this were to fail or she refused to attend then you could apply for a Prohibited Steps Order.....mediation being mandatory for a non urgent application.
