[Solved] Mom left town...

My ex who has full custody of our three kids 12, 10, and 8 flew out with my youngest to visit her new BF family. Other than knowing she was leaving, I wasn't told of when she was returning, or any expectations of me for watching my 12 and 10 year old. Her mother flew in 12 hours after she left (in which she planned on the kids being home alone during this time.) I of course didn't leave them there all day. So i figure everything solved I guess because her mom flew in...except that in talking to her found out gramma leaves saturday morning and my ex doesn't return until the following wednesday.

I contacted my ex to ask what plan was for the kids, and she sent me an apology for not finalizing plans for them she'd try to be "more diligent" next time.
I can't take time off work and certainly without a two week notice.

Sidebar: Parenting plan was set to mon and thrus evenings after work until 7pm, and every other weekend they stay thursday night until 4 on saturday.
For almost a year, I have had all my kids Wednesday evening when i get off work until friday evening every week - every other i keep until Saturday at 7pm (I work sundays)

What rights do I have here and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there

Even if you have a court order outlining contact times there's not a great deal that you can do about this. I take it your not going to leave them alone until she arrives back. She has you over a barrel. You could try and call the grandmas bluff and leave them with her and not pick them up, apart from that there's not a lot more you can do.

You could contact your ex telling her you are applying for an emergency residence order - that would scare the [censored] out of her, and she might fly back early.

Could start a sh*tstorm though.
