[Solved] Mom getting social services involved

I stated before I’m back in court on Friday after submitting a C2 as mom has made false allegations to the police which was “no further actioned”. She’s also stopped contact. I have not done anything wrong at all and am innocent of everything and assume I have nothing to worry about.

However mom has messaged me saying she has got social services involved due to “everything I’ve put her through”. Again it’s all rubbish I’ve been nothing but perfect towards her.

Is this something to worry about for this hearing ? It’s blatant she’s just trying to get something for court and as the police has failed this is next. Also should I have heard about It if her meeting was last Wednesday ?

It could be another mind game from her though.

Thanks!!

Hi there

You could try giving them a call to find out if they have any involvement, it might be that they have logged her "concerns" but aren't taking it further.

I wouldn't worry about this, as you say she could be trying to unsettle you before the hearing. If they do want to get involved, they will give you a chance to put your side of things, they will be used to parents trying to get some mud to stick during court hearings... just be calm and honest and share any concerns that you have if you're given the opportunity to do so.

All pretty typical stuff in my years of reading and learning about what i’ve gone through and others.

First stage is get police involved on made up allegations to then try and claim legal aid via DV support.

If that fails then she's going to run crying to anyone who will likely listen and then give out advice on how to stop such a nasty horrible person from “taking her child” away from her.
without serious risk or proof the SS will not take it further than noting her concern.

It’s all about control, how best to control you and show that she’s the victim!

Don’t what ever you do, do anything to her to allow her become a victim! Stay “whiter than white” and keep yourself protected by proof. If she tries to create a scene or an agrument face to face then walk away and tell her to put it in writiing to you, don't stand and argue your case with her cos she could be setting you up.
if you have to reply to anything from her then reply in writing (email – text) but be polite and not arguing in them.
She could try harassment next if you message her when she “doesn’t want messages” from you.

As Mojo says....stay calm and if spoken to by SS point out the facts.

Thanks both for your help!!

I’m guessing she’s doing what she wants and is trying to scare me. I just don’t like the idea of social being involved at all. I’ve literally nothing to hide and will make sure I remain calm at all times!!

Thanks again!
