I am having real issues with my ex the mother of my 2 boys. Over the last 2 years she has stopped and started contact between me and them. I was advised that the only way to resolve this would be a minute of agreement. After talking to a solicitor they have advised between £600-£800. Is there a cheaper way of doing this? I have text messages from her confirming dates and times for contact and previous solicitor letters which she never stuck too. She is also looking for maintenance Although I am not allowed access to my boys until something is written up. At my wits end just need some advice and help.
Are you in Scotland? The only info I can find about this refers to a separation agreement in Scotland, as part of divorce proceedings.
In England and Wales, unless any agreement is written into a consent order and submitted to a court to be rubber stamped, it's not legally binding.
I would advise that you go for a contact order through the courts. The system in Scotland is slightly different than here in England, if you could clarify where you are I can advise accordingly.
