Just had wind of the results of these 2 reports.

The consultant neurologists report states that my ex doesnt have any issues with bringing our children up yet misses an important part which is a psycometric test as her decision making and planning is not good. It also acknowledges her use of cannabis from 13 but syas she is clear in the past 6 months so thats fine.

A drugs test supports this however I know she has been taking it during this time yet it doesnt show on th etest as it was a small amount.

Social service have just told me on the telephone that they think my ex is coping fine despite her neing cared for my her parents now. When I asked what they think about her bringing the children up on her own they responded, we can only go on what we see.

My solicitor tells me it doesnt look good but all is not lost.

I am beside myself as this women is both physicaly and mentaly handicapped with a drug problem.

So much for puttin gmy faith i the process.

Regards,

Dave

Dave Mate,

the neurologist report is a waste of time, dont let it get to you. Your concerns are her psychological well being given her behaviours and irrational tendencies. This has not been formally assessed and there were no psychometric test and so not much can be gleened from his report apart from the ex's physical function given her medical conditions.

The social workers report hasnt come back yet mate....have a read and dont let it get the better of you buddy cause I have no doubts it will show you are a kind, caring and considerate father who loves and cares for his children and can meet all the childrens physical, psychological and emotional needs.

Its all about the long haul and you will get what you have aimed for sir.......

Thanks Roy...I just dont see how I will get sole residency now and be able to protect our children from a drug adled brain damaged psycopath.

It seems that these experts csan tell all of this from a 2 hour session with her yet her history counts for nothing.

I dont think there will be any doubt that I am a kin caring Dad just that in theyre opinion our children are better of in the sole care of someone who cannot look after themselves.

All I can do is wait for the reports to come through and try to identify weaknesses but if I said I think our children will get whats best for them out of this I would be lying.

To say I am down at the moment is a massive understatement.

Thanks for your support though Roy.....

Regards,

Dave

I'm sorry to read this Dave and I can understand why you are feeling so down about it but as Boycie says its all about the long haul. You must concentrate on the positives of your case....it's not over yet!

The solicitor probably wants to prepare you for a negative result, they often do this and the ending can be quite different.
