I think that's the lawyer just being realistic, in that there are no guarantees, but you already know that anyway, so I would let that bit put you off.
I agree with actd, they have t cover themselves as there's no guarantees. Keep at it Kenny!
Hi. I've spent unfolds amounts of £ along my journey on Solitors, when ever I spoke to my solitor they say well this could happen but this might happen. No one can predict the outcome and like the Gents above they will just take caution as they don't want to tell you something they can't deliver.
Good luck.
Like the others here have said KMac, solicitors won’t give you a direct yes or no answer and tend to err on the side caution by saying non-committal answers “maybe” “maybe not”
As you say too, you would expect contact to increase in time, however the time scales would be determined by courts based on contact centre reports and how the kids are reacting to contact but you’ll get road blocks from the ex as well you know. I doubt they will want to rush things and they too will err on the side of caution too.
That said, if it’s all going well then why shouldn’t the courts agree to allowing the kids to spend more time with their father!
I'm pretty sure it's a typo and actd meant to say wouldn't not would.
A quick bit of advice about solicitors - in my experience, they ones who won't give you a straight answer haven't got the experience you need to lead you through your particular maze.
I got through a couple of wishy washy ones who my ex ran rings around before finding my current gem. She told me exactly what course of action to follow and I made sure I followed it to the letter, I'm happy with the outcome so far.
Oops. mis-typed - I did indeed mean "wouldn't".
