This is beyond annoying for you! They say one thing and do another! I can’t believe you have to wait a further six months....feel for you Dad-i-d.
I know, really p****d off, since i applied to vary the order back in 2017 there have been over 18mths of delays due to court unable to fit it in for full days for six months at each bl00dy time for getting it to another hearing…i expressed that in the response to the courts and i intend to raise this with my local MP after this case is heard in August….they are playing with peoples lives here!
Ignoring the previous 5yrs of battles against the ex, my life has been on hold from May 2015 to Jan 2017 for the CAFCASS fudge up and then on hold again from Oct 2017…i cannot move on and focus on myself at all until this is resolved one way or another.
It simply is courts and cafcass playing with parents and children’s lives with what appears to be no come backs on them at all unless you have unlimited funds to fight them through every court in the land and Europe!
I can’t think of anyone else that has had the trials that you’ve had to deal with... I have nothing but the utmost respect for your resolve and tenacity... you deserve a medal!
I’d take some time out now, give yourself a break from it all, if you can... it’s so draining and mentally punishing and you need to recharge.
All the best
I cannot speak for the rest of the Dads here but you are most defiantly an inspiration for me, please do not give up and stay strong.
Is it worth contacting the court and asking if they can book a second date in, say 3 weeks after the date in August, with the same judge? That way, if there is any need for another hearing after the August hearing, it's already booked, so you don't have a further long wait. If you don't need that second date, the court could fill it fast enough, so it wouldn't be wasted for them.
