Had my 1st call today before my hearing,
we had a laugh at the beginning and seemed nice but obviously then got serious as ex has done the usual and made allegations that child would not be safe with me in my care, even though i live full time with my 3 other children, eldest being mentally disabled
asked if ever been in trouble with police and had my report in front of her which was all clear, said that she had been told social services had been to my house even though social services have told me they have no further interest
ex played the mental health card and said that's why i'm unfit to have my son alone.....i have anxiety due to a incontinence problem and was finding it hard to go out in public at time of being in relationship with ex
cafcass also said that because I've never been allowed to be alone with my son then contact may need to be built up over time.....even though i look after 3 other children full time in my home
we had a giggle afterwards before call ended about who had the right date for the court and i asked if it would have to go to fact finding hearing, she said she didnt think that may be necessary
so now just gotta wait for court hearing :/
Thanks for sharing. Hopefully you will get a copy of the safeguarding letter through before the hearing and that will help you prepare a short position statement for the court including your proposals.
i have already had to provide a statement to court as the judge had ordered me and the ex to provide both parties with but hers has not arrived to me before the deadline set by the court
