[Solved] Is there a legal definition of family?

Im living in slightly unusual circumstances at the moment and i wonder if a judge would be willing to consider it as a family? I want to know if theres a legal definition of ‘family’???

I don't think there is a legal definition of a family, I think the law deals as best it can with aspects of family life that it feels need legislature to protect where necessary for the individuals or society, but doesn't and can't always succeed - for instance, bigamy is illegal but it's perfectly legal for a man to live with two women (or vice versa).
