[Solved] information from nursery

Hi can anyone help me with the following, I have an 18 month old son, I am on the birth certificate, I have my son fri and sat, the problem is he attends a private nursery and they won't give me information about my son unless they get permission of mum first? Is this right ?

I believe you can request any information about you or your dependants under the data protection act. Try calling the information commissioners office (ICO) on 0303 123 1113. They should tell you what information you can and can't request.

Thanks but I also wanted to know if they can legally does under the child law act ?

The nursery have to provide you with information if you have Parental Responsibility.
