[Solved] Immigration Law and NHS surcharge

Hi, I am writing from Mumbai India. I am Indian and living in India.
My son lives in the UK and I am planning to apply for a family visa to join him.
I am seeking some information on immigration law, specifically, the NHS surcharge which is called the IHS made on visa applications.
This is a charge that we need to pay as part of our application for potentially using the NHS in the future.
I was not clear in the case if an applicant is going to work in the UK then I would be paying the NI which is deducted from my salary. Since I have already paid the NHS in advance I was wondering if this is not double taxation.

Jut wondering if someone out here has knowledge of this. I can give more info needed.

Thanks for your help.

Hello. Sorry this is not an area we have any knowledge of on this site, you are better going to someone who specialises in this area.
