My ex has left the children in my care many times and failed to collect them, days on end without any contact. Her solicitor has stated it is because she was admitted into hospital. This is not true as she was out partying. I have requested that her solicitor needs to bring documentation for her admission and discharge as this is part of my dispute she abandons the children.

Would it be worth my while informing the Judge as I have already submitted my statement ?

Yes Bill tell the judge whats going on, I'm sure you will be given the opportunity to add to your position statement verbally...or you could write it in a letter to the judge with a copy for the ex and one for CAFCASS too, explaining that this is new information that came about after you had submitted your statement.

Good luck 🙂

Absolutely write a letter to the Judge, state that this is additional information you have learnt that backs up your statement and put that you have supplied her solicitor with a copy also. But these will need to be with the other part and the courts about a week before the hearing date.
If you can’t get it to them before the hearing use it as additional comments and bring it to the judge’s attention as soon as you can.
It may delay things if the ex decides to still claim she was in hospital etc… as it will be up to you to prove anything you’re claiming. I think I’m right in saying the judge can ask for disclosure of hospital attendances, I know they can from the police so I can’t see why not from doctors. Maybe someone else here knows more on that one.

Absolutely agree with both comments above - it's extremely relevant, and if you fail to bring it up, you'll have trouble using it in future.
