Despite much googling and getting conflicting info, i wish to vary an existing contact order made last August. I rad i should use C2 and also that i should re-use C100. please can anyone who has done this take me through the basic steps of which forms i need to use? i am familiar with applications and enforcements etc... im just not clear which form to use to vary

Hi there,

It would be the C100 form that you would use, the C2 is used where there's an existing case ongoing and you wanted to add another application to the same case.

You've had a final hearing, resulting in an order and the case will have been closed, the C100 application will generate a new case.

Unfortunately you will need to attempt mediation again, before you can make an application. You could give the mediator a call and ask if they would be prepared to sign off the form, if you felt that mediation wouldn't be appropriate.

if you wish to vary the order because of safeguarding concerns, you could also send a supplementary form C1a, to tell the court about the risks.

All the best
