I have 2 children with my ex. She refused to put me on their birth certificates so I have no parental responsibility. When we first separated she told me I couldn't see the children. I paid maintenance through the CSA but then received a letter saying they would be taking no more payments. How can I see my children? Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi there
Child Maintenance and contact are two separate issues, one is not reliant on the other... It's unusual for a resident parent to close a claim for maintenance!
The first step in regaining contact would be to attend mediation, if this fails, or she refuses to attend, the mediator would then sign off the form to allow an application to be made to court for a Child Arrangements Order.
Here's a link to the mediation service

There's lots of info on the process in the stickys at the top of the legal eagle section, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
All the best
Did the CSA say why they weren't taking any further payments? It may well be that they are closing the case as the system is transferred to CMS, so you may well get a claim from them, but I'd put money aside still for this.
