Hello, my ex wife and I subsequent to a divorce went for financial remedy ans asset division in the court. We agreed at the FDR to settle. A clause in the order reada that "... neither party shall be entitled to make any further application in relation to the marriage for an order under the Mateimonial Causes Act 1973 section 23(1)(a) or (b) and neither party shall be entitled on the other's death to apply for an order under the inheritance (Provision for Family and Drpendanrs) Act 1975, section 2. I have come to know that my ex ia being investigated overseas for money laundering and ut appears she was hiding significnt assets whoch ahe did not diaclose in our proceedings in UK. What options do I have, will I be able to go back to court to reopen thr now closed case or ia there any other law under which I can apply?
Failure to disclose assets when requested by the court is contempt of court which is a punishable offence. There is an N600 for making an application.
However you need to ask yourself whether you would like to enter litigation with your ex given that you have reached a settlement.
