So following another set of arguments, regarding Christmas contact it is looking like we will be going to court.
I have read through the stickies and I am self representing as I believe this to be the best way to move forward with this quickly. As part of that I've contacted a local mediation centre, and I am awaiting my Ex's address details etc (I know where she lives, but not the address).
it is gonna be basically impossible to have this sorted for this Christmas though hopefully will allow me to have everything stabilised for the future.
Any pointers that anyone can think of?
Hi There,
.
The best advice is to be prepped as much as you can, have notes on small cards that you can flick through, with all of your points on.
.
A good position statement will alway help too but it needs to be brief outlining the issues rather than full details of the issues.
.
best advice though is ask us anything you need to know give details but keep it in such a way that anyone reading wouldn't work out it's you writing.

Hi there
Sadly you're right in that it won't be sorted any time soon, do you think she will at least attempt mediation? I do hope so, court should always be the last resort and mediation is shown to be successful at least 50% of the time.
If court is your only option, it's a good idea to ask for an intierim order for contact on the C100 application, at least then the court will discuss this. It's also a good idea to prepare a brief position statement to take with you, just a couple of pages to give the court a little more detail about the background to your case.
You should receive a letter from CAFCASS, prior to the first hearing, they will be tasked with preparing a basic safeguarding report for the court, called a schedule 2 letter and will also perform an interview with you and the other party, this is usually done over the phone. There's a sticky about "CAFCASS do's and donts" which you may find helpful.
As GTTS has said, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask and we will do our best to,advise and support you.
All the best
make a list of whats been happening in chronological order, it will help you and the court in dealing with the matter
