hopefully the mediator does not waste time and just gives you green light to apply to court.
if you were to pay maintenance through CMS, then you would still have to pay whether your seeing your child or not. I would advise you to carry on paying via private arrangement, so she doesn't open a claim with CMS and give you a headache.

I would also add if you are paying via a standing order with your bank, make sure you have it labelled on your statements as Child Maintenance. Paying by cash in hand doesn't give you the security of proof were that ever to be needed.
I don't know how you calculated the level of payments you made, but if you used the CMS calculator I assume you are secure in knowing she can't get any more monthly out of you.
I would add to that - keep your bank statements forever (well, a good few years after maintenance ends, if you are online, download them on a regular basis),
