Hi Crocs,

At the first hearing you may well get an interim order.
My son certainly did and after a period of a couple of months he returned to court
for the final hearing at which he got the contact order he wanted.

Thanks Kirsten. So will the interim cancel out the PSO?

...no you should get interim residence at the next hearing, but I would ask for the PSO to remain in place.

I would have thought that the judge will order reports, which could be done by CAFCASS, or by the local authority Social Services, as you are involved with them already it may be that they will do the report if one is asked for.

Thanks Mojo. We've literally just had a section 7 done but then he withdrew his application for contact and the judge accepted, fingers crossed they will use that? They'll have the old file at court won't they? I mentioned it on my application.

... As one has only recently been done then I'm sure the judge will accept it, he may ask for an addendum.

That's what I'm hoping for, quicker for an ammendum too I hope.
One more thing, can anyone explain the judge situation to me?
First hearing was one judge and cafcass officer. Small town court.
Directions hearing was THREE judges. Smaller town court again and application allowed to be withdrawn.
PSO was one judge in a bigger city court.
PSO follow up one judge in a bigger city court.
What's with the 3 judges? They scared me to death! I completely lost it an the tears fell, ex wasn't even there, I'd have fallen to bits if he was.
I felt at ease with one judge.

The three judges were magistrates...you can request that your case stays with the same judge. I always think there should be continuity with the same judge as they get to know your case.

Thanks mojo. Do magistrates have more clout than the others?
I wasn't aware I could request that, saying that, the first just we saw at first directions hearing was sat in a corner alon with the 3 judges.
What's the difference?
