I have a court order 30%, mum has 70%. My Son 11 keeps saying he wants to live with me and can he come more etc etc. His mother has a drinking issue and although he is in no harm etc she does very little with him. He also has a older sister who is 19. She keeps telling me that he would be better living with me etc. i have spoke to social services they advise going back to court. She wont listen to anything i say. He has lots of fun with me and we are always doing things together which he loves. What can i do about this? i want to see him at least 50% of the time if not more. Can you advise please? he also tells his mum he would rather be with me but it is brushed aside

Hi,

I suggest to avoid going back to court so soon. Think better to give it another year, then reconsider. Or perhaps mother might be open to changes without going court.

Is your ex ever incapable with drink that you are aware of while your son is in her care? If so, that's the case, then that is something to discuss with Childrens Services.
