... The S7 is an in depth report and your son will be able to put his side forward, hopefully the same CAFCASS officer will be involved in compiling it.

Generally if a party makes allegations of domestic violence they have to have evidence to back it up...such as police reports or local authority involvement with the child and mother. If there are no such reports then the allegations shouldn't hold water.

If the other party continues with their allegations it could be that the court will order a finding of fact hearing, but it's best not to second guess what will happen.
