Hi Mich,

this isn't over yet. son should focus on the coming section 7 interview with cafcass.

what is his next hearing titled, is it Dispute Resolution appointment? (DRA) if so then theres chances it can even go to 3rd and final hearing. at DRA judges don't like to make order. in my case the S7 report was out in time for DRA hearing. no cafcass woman present. ex and lawyer just wasted time, and made it go to final hearing, where judge said cafcass officer must be present.

i think you should try contact both court and cafcass and ask if cafcass person that is writing report, to be present at next hearing.

when going to family court you should said get a letter in the post after . if it says on there that judge ordered that social worker arranges contact then that can be chased up. I would be contacting social worker saying a judge has ordered interim contact as its detrimental for our child to not see his father for 3 months. if its not written in order then I am afraid you will have to wait until next hearing. a good section 7 report is needed and don't mention anything about 2 incidents unless cafcass officer does.

Cafcass did the exes part of the report on the day of the hearing. Should we get a copy of that and will we get a copy of what was said by her solicitor aswell. We have received no correspondance from the exes solicitor.

You wont get a copy or get told anything your ex solicitor has said by cafcass. if cafcass were speaking to ex as part of a s7 report or a phone call/meeting that is normally done before 1st hearing you should get a copy of that. If It was just cafcass chatting to ex in general there would be no copy of that either.

What happened at your 1st hearing was another date set for next hearing FHDRA

The cafcass woman had spent 45 mins before the hearing with the ex as she hadnt hadnt done the telephone interview so all that was on the report was my sons interview. He doesnt know what the next stage is but said the next hearing is at the end of April. Im hoping it will say on the order letter.
