Hi there,
I am trying to findout my son's Secondry School, as he's left primary school Recently. The Primary won't tell me under GDPR. His mum and I don't get along, is there anyway why to findout.
Is there a child arrangement order in place?
No mate, my ex is just a nightmare she won't let me see him. I do not have the money for solicitors at the moment.
You can consider mediation. If it fails, apply for a Child Arrangement Order. You don't need a solicitor. Thousands of parents represent themselves from start to finish. Mediation cost money but for CAO the only thing you have to pay for is the application.
Things to consider before applying:
- What's your position. How often should the child have contact with you and why is it in their best interest?
- What do you think the child's wishes might be?
- Is the commute from your home to their school reasonable?
- How often can you do school runs and can you do so reliably?
- Do you want to split the holiday?
There are plenty of resources and threads on this forums and on others about the process, what to expect and how long it can take from start to finish.
