Hi All, I am a couple years after divorce. Both marriage and divorce has been made in Poland. We are both UK residents and we are living in UK more than 15 years.
Last week I heard somewhere that we can still claim the money etc from each other if we are not legally financially separated.
So, not sure if anyone been in similar situation but is she still can claim for example my savings which I made after divorce? Are we need financial break up in UK if marriage and divorce has been made outside UK?
P.S. my ex is not easy person and if she can makes problems then she will
I don't know about Polish law but usually in the UK, there is some mention of finances on divorce. There may be a settlement or a clean break. There are guides about divorce and finances on the advicenow.org.uk website which explain divorce in the UK.
