[Solved] Finances - FDR

Hi,

Just a quick process question.
Can I as the applicant pull the plug on financial proceedings (we have had 1 session in court and next month we have the 2nd - FDR).
My solicitor says I can't unless the other side agree?

Hi There,
.
I would say take the advice of your solicitor, we aren't leagally trained and mainly go off our own experiences, if you feel your solicitor is only saying you can't do this to ensure the case goes forward so they get paid further then ask another solicitor to clarify.

I think I will get a second opinion from a solicitor.
Thanks.

I told my solicitor I can't afford to use his services after the FDR next month and I would do all the work for the final hearing (I think it will go to a final).
So his remit now is to focus on final hearing for access mid next month and the FDR a few days latter. It has cost an absolute fortune so far, but my main focus is access and finances I'll do myself.
