In April, had DRA and Court ordered Contested Custody Final Hearing. The Court Order said parties to file & serve their statements within 28 days of Final Hearing. Today received notice that Hearing scheduled in 14 days time!
This is too short a notice to prepare for hearing and get representation at hearing. Due to limited funds, I am a LiP but use Direct Access Barrister at Hearings, the ex retains a solicitor.
Is there a special process I must follow to get court to give me a longer timeline ideally 6-7 weeks.
Feeling very stressed. The dates for FHDRA, Fact Finding, DRA was typically 3-4 months from receiving listing notice. The most critical hearing the final hearing is hardly any notice to get a barrister .
hi,
did cafcass do an s7 report and make recommendations? if so can you tell what they are?
if you need a barrister there might be chance of finding at short notice. check out direct access portal: https://www.directaccessportal.co.uk/
