[Solved] Final hearing

Hi,

I am going to use a barrister in final hearing scheduled for 2 days.
Please can someone give me advice on whether i need to provide a skeleton argument if i have a barrister? Is this separate to a position statement?
Lastly, can i provide character references for final hearing and do people think this is a good idea?

Thank you

Have you beeen asked/ordered by the court to file a skeleton argument? If not then don’t. Speak to your barrister about what they require from you.

Here’s some info about Skeleton Arguments, most of what goes in them will already be in your statements and reports.

Position statements are a brief two page statement to tell the court about any new developments, basic and with no other evidence attached.

Character references have more impact if provided by professional people, that have no personal interest in you or your case. References provided by friends and family don’t really have the same impact, of course they’re going to put a favourable slant on your character!
