hi guys, the court ordered myself and my ex to file and serve witness statements by a certain date and time. i haven't received mine and was told by her solicitor that , no, they hadn't sent it and i would have it by the end of the week! what can i do? i get letters from her solicitor for just breathing! thanks for any advice
There is only a limited amount you can do, certainly raise it with the court - strictly speaking it's contempt of court but unless it happens repeatedly, the court probably wont do much except have a stern word.
As matter of interest, do you have a solicitor, and does your ex have legal assistance or is she paying her own costs?
thanks for your response, no, i don't have a solicitor at the moment but am hoping to have one for the final hearing. my ex has legal aid. i rang the court and they advised me to write to the judge, but am not sure how to word it as i don't want to appear confrontational but at the same time i do want it noted
