[Solved] Family Assistance Order?

OK so here i am again….Court ordered indirect contact and this to be supported by CAFCASS
The way it was explained in court was for CAFCASS officer to assist my son in writing back to me or calling me and also for them to work with my son to a point where they can start looking at getting some form of direct contact started again.

So a couple of weeks back CAFCASS write to court for court to clarify what they are to do…basically the court order does not clarify what they are to do…only CAFCASS to assist my son!
So OK i get that its not detailed enough by court (or her barrister who drafted the order!)

I now have a letter from court asking for my comments and or submissions on the proposal of making a Family assistance order. i have 14days from the date of the letter which means i now have 10days to submit to court.

My thoughts are:

A group such as the foster support team? Rather than CAFCASS who are to be fair an inconsistent waste of energy.

Whoever it is to be experienced in Implacable / Intractable Hostility cases and Parental alienation cases. I do not feel the CAFCASS case worker who was involved in 2015 was suitable. The previous one was much older and had many more years of experience!

The help required:

• Assist my son with writing letters back to me – not heard a thing in over 8mths now.
• Assist him by showing that i am not the person his mother is trying to make out i am. (Proven her lies so many times in court)
• Assist him with the separation anxiety being shown by him
• Assist him with the Parental alienation anxiety
• Assist him in knowing that he is allowed to love me despite his mother’s anxiety
• Assist in supporting direct contact again.
• Assist with reversing the emotional harm he has suffered due to his mother’s Implacable hostility towards me

What are your suggestions?

I need help here….i’m lost as to what to ask for to make sure that direct contact gets started by the end of the 6mth indirect contact that was ordered.

Hi Dad-i-d

I haven't had much experience of Family Assistance Orders but from what I've just read these can only be made with the agreement of both parents and the CAFCASS Officer would need to produce a care plan that you would both need to agree to....I think. Here's the CAFCASS guidance on FAOs

I'll keep looking but I would suggest that you think about suggesting Theraputic Interventions and a defined care plan with the opportunity to return to court if this isn't followed.
