[Solved] FACEBOOK

So the Mothers of our child have now contacted facebook to get them to take all photos of her off our profiles. Surely Facebook shouldnt just take them off without checking with us if they are our photos taken by us and that we dont need permission as she is our daughter too. Not that we see any difference in ourselves as fathers, but this should especially not be happening to my partner who is the biological father. Has anyone experienced this? What can you do?

Hi There,
.
I don't know much about facebook rules and how they deal with reported posts/photos, But I'v just had a look at the reporting process, and it gives an option for reporting photo's that contain your family as a reason for removal, I wouldn't think that facebook would get involved in working out who is right or wrong, they would just take the easy option to remove, which is wrong as anyone could report anything for any reason they wanted and have it removed.
.
have you contacted Facebook and asked them how to stop it happening again.
.
Another though is to block them on your profiles so that they can't see anything you post.
.

i agree - block them on facebook and lock down the preferences as to who can view your fb. If you have mutual friends I suppose you could set up a separate FB account and make that a friend on your normal account, that way you have more control over who sees it.

We dont have mutual friends and our settings are the strictest privacy. I cannot understand it. Facebook have not replied to our countless emails to them either. Its frustrating that this is something else they have over us.

Personally I would delete your accounts, make new ones and don't add anyone you don't trust.

Courts detest FB and quite often include a ban on posting pictures on social media as part of the order when it has caused issues. Pick your battles, especially if you are beginning court proceedings.
