[Solved] Ex strikes again

I'm beyond angry. She's not attending the emergency hearing. Citing childcare issues as it is too late notice. He still has to attend though. If the judge doesn't do anything about this I give up all hope. This woman has played the court for years and has never once had as much as her wrist slapped. Surely this time something has to be done.

Hi There,
.
It's amazing what they can get away with I was ordered to attend court with a weeks notice for a case I wasn't even expecting, when I contacted the court and asked for a different date as a weeks notice wasn't enough time to get time off from work to attend or to take legal advice as I work long hours, I had a reply telling me a week was enough time to gain legal advice and that I hadn't supplied proof that I had been denied time off to attend.
.
I start work at 7am and leave work between 5:30-6pm when I was supposed to gain legal advice in that time scale god only knows. Luckily my manager wrote an email to them confirming that he couldn't give me time off at short notice and the date was moved.
.
It seems mad that she can state child care as a reason that they would accept when I'm sure she would have had longer notice.
.

Thank you GTTS. She doesn't work, has a new husband and a large family, the children will be at school and nursery apart from the one that isn't his so childcare issues are yet another lie to delay things. We will see if the court and judge accept the excuse, I really really hope not because he needs for them not to.

So the judge totally accepted the childcare issue and also "overlooked" the fact ex still hasn't supplied the ordered paperwork including vital evidence for his expert witness, She even agreed the hearing was at short notice for ex!!! Ex did however manage to supply more neatly typed up vile accusations. There is another hearing on Monday which ex isn't planning to attend so his barrister will argue her allegations are set aside. But what chance is there of that when the judge is so clearly in her side. So no futher forward, he is devastated and angry and ex now feels more powerful as she's being given and easy ride by this judge.

It's sickening! I can't believe the judge is just enabling her in continuing to abuse the system.

This is so frustrating, the court is worried about a party getting "only" one week notice, ignoring that he hasn't seen his children for such a long time, and that the case is dragging on and on and on 🙁

I know this may be of little respite, but if the ex is confident and feeling more powerful, that's not necessarily a bad thing, it's in those circumstances that people loose focus and make mistakes. Hearing these stories is a chilling reminder of what we all face. my heart goes out to him.

It's heartbreaking. He's been through so much and he's still not getting any court support. The new allegations are just sickening and total lies yet again. She's beating him down, he's almost got no fight left and I just don't know what to do to help, I can't help. Every court hearing he's goes to with hope and every time he leaves more deflated and demoralised. He's had good judges and he's asked for them to be assigned to his case but his requests have never been granted and now he's got this judge who seems to favour ex. He's got a good barrister and he did a good job today. I just hope he can pull off a miracle on Monday because he needs it.

It is absolutely heartbreaking, it's become increasingly hard to offer words of encouragement as they seem so hollow in this case...I'm not usually at a loss, so goodness knows how you're both feeling right now. Please stay strong and stick with it, situations can turn quickly and we are all behind you.

Thank you, your support means a lot. It's the allegations that hurt the most, she's done a real character assassination, bleating about DV that never happened and a non mol she got based on a statement of lies. I honestly don't know how she can lie so much and get away with it. She's just beyond evil. Monday really needs to bring some good news.

I think the fact that she's got away with it so far is just spurring her on to new heights of nastiness. Try and get him to take the weekend off from this burden, you too..go do something enjoyable to take your minds off it... at least for a couple of days.
