I am going through a tricky breakup and wanted to know if I am required to give permission to my ex partner whilst I visit my mum along with my 16 month old daughter - it takes one hour to get to the destination and time spent was 3 hours over lunch and then I come home? all in the UK and not abroad I must add.
It seems reasonable to me but I have just returned home to both my ex partner and her father screaming blue murder that I should have informed them and demanding why I hadn't let them know. (We have been separated 7 months)
thanks in advance
from a very deflated father
Just so its clear, you remained in England and Wales?
If this is the case then they are blowing hot air at you.
What you do in your time with the children is your business. With the usual caveats, your not puting them in danger or neglecting them etc.
Regards,
Dave
Many thanks - remained in England (Winchester) and never left my sight.... Even made loose claims that my mums partner could have been a paedophile due to a court case 4 years ago involving his son making wild accusations which where never found to be true and of course very damaging to his credibility.
