I contacted the court 10 days ago asking to add to proceedings for my case of April 6th and have had no reply.... Is it worth just sending off the C2 at this point in time ?
Also I'd really like for my son to start spending time over here with my family and staying. We have all the suitable requirements he needs. Is it likely I can get joint/partial custody of him now at his age
Hi Pete
I would call them first thing Tuesday and explain you've had no response. The courts are slow and notoriously shoddy with their admin so I would always advise chasing them up.
The court will have to allow for progression of contact before considering making an order for overnight contact and beyond. At this stage, I would just focus on getting your admin in order and thinking about immediate schedule of contact you can ask the court to consider.
Given your son's age, (I'm working on the basis you have had no contact so correct me if I'm wrong) the most likely way forward for now would be 6-12 visits in the contact centre progressing to visits in the community.
Good luck with getting hold of the court.
