[Solved] CSA Question. Leaving my Job

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum.

I finish up in my job on 18 January 2013. I currently pay through the CSA.

After a 2 month sabbatical I will be trying to set up my own part-time business and hopefully return

to further education part-time too, all going to plan.

How and when do I approach the CSA about my situation as I will probably be without a wage for about 4-5 months

and on benefits while I get my affairs in order.

Any other general advice will be most welcome.

Thanks in advance for any help

T

Hi there and welcome 🙂

I would give them plenty of notice that your financial circumstances are going to change and you will be claiming benefits in the new year.
They may want some kind of proof etc so the sooner you start the ball rolling the better in my opinion.

If you are returning to work part time then it might be that your income will be too low to have to pay maintenance. There is a very useful information leaflet that is linked to a sticky at the very top of the Finance section which is well worth having a look at.

Good luck with everything 🙂
