My ex wife is insisting that i use the CSA collect and pay system and not the direct pay system not because i am not paying but because i will have to pay more.
Is there anything i can do about this ?

Don't worry, all new cases are going on the collect and pay to begin with, without the charges as far as I know. Once it starts if you have paid on time you will be given the option to direct pay....I seem to remember reading that this is the case anyway!

There was an item on the BBC news website yesterday about this - I think letters are going out in the next few weeks about this, but essentially, as NJ says, the charges will only apply if payment is missed or late.
