Hi people , so my dilemma , just received a closing balance from csa of 23,000 , it is impossible I thought , so I contacted them and asked for a statement which the provided , so every year I got my payment plan and they removed the monies from my wages !! Ie £2500 ish per year , but on the statement they had been charging me a totally different amount that I was unaware of , over £6000 per year adding £4000 + in some years on my account which I had no idea they was doing , they are now saying it’s to late to contest the matter , how can they do this and is it legal !! Any help would be highly appreciated

I would go to your MP and ask them to help... This kind of thing seems to be happening a lot, as they move old cases onto the new system, past arrears surface and because of the time frame it can be really difficult to prove.

I have kept all 8 years work of paper work , they have put my case on hold , it’s not getting moved over to the new system until it’s all sorted , I’ve recently read up on csm guidelines , and dept / arrears that are passed over must be screened throughout to make sure the debt is correct which will cost around £230 million

Quite a few of our members have ask their MP for help, it's handy that you've kept all your paperwork. I would also request that any further communications is done in writing, so that you have proof of what they're saying... all too often they get away with saying different things and giving wrong info over the phone.

Best of luck
