Hi all
Silly question , but for example how do you know when to speak in court and get your point across when you want to bring something up and so on ? Should you stand up and wait for the other person to finish speaking , raise your hand ?
Cheers

from what i've experienced, its better to raise your hand, then speak once they let you. i only stood up when some clerk or usher told us to stand up when judges entered or left room.

I agree, though the judge will normally be keeping an eye on you anyway, and give you chance to respond when the other side has finished speaking. Take a notepad and pen in, and write down questions as they occur to you, so you don't forget to ask something.

There’s some videos about the hearings, in the stickys at the top of the legal eagle section, there’s also some good info from this site, and you’ll find some videos there too.
