Hi new to this could you give me some advice . i have been overpayed my cares allowance for a few years now . not sure what will happen i would like to know if this went to court could it stop from being in the local paper . my wife has had 2 breakdown last few years now she not doing so good with waiting to hear
I presume that they should be giving you the opportunity to repay over a period of time if it's been overpaid as a result of a genuine error, rather than going to court.
Anything that does go to a criminal court can generally be reported on unless there is a particular reason why the judge prevents reporting.
Worth contacting your local CAB for some assistance and advice.
