Im about to have a 3rd hearing in my case (this one is to discuss the section 7 report written in its preparation). I am representing myself. My ex is unreasonable and is leaning on a minor 8 year old domestic violence allegation (shoving) to block me from having any contact at all with our daughter, whom I have not seen since she was 4 months ( I live abroad in Canada, they are in the UK).
What are viable contact suggestions for a parent living abroad who is really just getting to know their child? I have no idea what the section 7 report will say, or what Cafcass recommends, but I'd like so have some suggestions in hand for the court, in re the type of contact I, a parent living abroad, would like to have with my child.
Video chat?
Email?
What are some good, solid reasonable options? btw, my ex manufactured lies and has a non molestation order in place, i believe, simply to hamper this process.
hi,
before writing a statement first you should wait for the S7 report to come out and see what Cafcass recommended. Court will likely agree 99% to Cafcass recommendations.
as your living abroad, I suppose the best outcome is for you to have regular video calls with child. Also be able to travel to UK to see your child if possible? pretty much depends on Cafcass and if they say there's safeguarding concerns.
@bill337 thanks. nervous about the report but what can i do? just wait and see...
