You are doing the right thing.
I’m currently going through the process of full residency for my daughter also!

Her mum is an alcoholic, I applied in December for mediation which went very wrong and am now coming to the end of my section 7 report due to be sent soon and middle hearing in 2 weeks, which I have no doubt will go to a final hearing!!

I have been accused of rape, domestic violence, abusing my current wife, abusing my kids and more. It’s been a horrific journey but cafcass are finally seeing her for what she is!
Social services discharged our case too, they don’t care unless child is actually physically hurt and then it’s too late.
Keep fighting, it’s a very long battle but they are worth it.

Be honest with the courts, with cafcass and stay child focused!

Wow, that takes a lot of courage to stay put and challenge people's perceptions.

To be honest, I am not sure it was the right thing to do, I might have been better running off and hiding, as it took a huge toal on my emotional wellbeing, but I was allowed to stay on the family home, and it felt important to be close to my daughters.

Thanks so much for sharing that. I know I’m doing the right thing but it’s easy to start thinking negatively about it all.

I Would love to get a bit more information about the whole process if you wouldn’t mind me sending you a pm at some point? I Understand you’ve probably got on your plate so absolutely no worries if that’s a bit much!

Also good to hear that social services dismissed your case and you’re still going with it, I was worried that that would be a deal breaker. How did it progress from there to the section 7? How has the lockdown affected your situation?

Must be so hard to be accused of those things, luckily she hasn’t stopped that low, yet.

Best of luck to you for the rest of the case!
