hi chaps, after court hearings cafcass recomended contact center and there now however when i go back to court whats the best i can espect, that is time with my daughter shes only very young, and how do hand overs work as myself and ex dont talk, very sad, thanks to anyone who could can help,
I would talk to the contact centre, they will be able to talk you through the handover procedures.
If there's to be no contact between you and your ex, the staff will probably keep you and your ex in separate rooms and transfer the child from the mother to you avoiding any direct contact.
Once there's been a period of supervised contact, if it has gone well, the court will want to progress contact to outside the centre, starting with just a few hours and building up over time, until your child can stay with you for a full day or two, which could including overnights. At the moment your child is still very young, so they will probably want to move things forward quite slowly.
Best of luck
