Hi
I am divorced for over a year and have two kids that live with my ex wife.
I haven't signed and have no intention of signing a clean break order which my ex has asked me to out of the blue, now my ex's father has flown in from the US and asked to meet with me. I have heard as he is over 70 that he is here to off load his 7 houses he has here to my ex.. where do I stand if I dont sign this and where do I stand finachaly if she does come in to 7 houses.. After 23 years of her sitting on her [censored] and me paying over the odds for the divorce can I expect a percentage of this.. I sound bitter. I guess I am..
Thanks for your help in advance
Si
Hi Si
Lots of solicitors offer a free first consultation and it might be a good idea to go for this and get some info about her liability to you if she comes into property.
F you were married for twenty odd years then it might be that you would be able to claim a portion, but I would only be guessing on that!
Perhaps her dad might offer you a financial incentive to sign a clean break.
