Hi,

My son has been taken to Southern Ireland by his mother, originally I agree to this as she promised contact and she would fly him back for holidays etc.

Obviously she has not kept to her word and now told me to get a lawyer.

I've contacted Reunite and filed abduction papers, but I have to apply for legal aid in Ireland ! Maybe I've a little naive but I thought she had abducted a child but I have to fork out for lawyers now?

I doubt I stand anychance of getting legal aid, as I wouldn't here.

Any advice?

Call the police as it’s abduction without your written permission , so long as you have parental responsibility
