[Solved] Changing A Contact Order

Hello

So I have a basic contact order that allows me to see my son alternative weekends and one day during the week. I recently found out that my son's mother had been lying to me about our son's welfare during the weekends that she supposed to be having him instead she goes to work.
Since she always works during the weekends, I asked for myself to have our son at the weekends since she works unfortunately she's not willing to listen.

I have two questions, how can I get my existing contact order amended for this to be added? Also would this be approved by the courts?

Hi there

You can get an existing order amended, this is called applying for a variation. The first thing you would need to do would be to attend mediation, this is now mandatory before an application to court can be made.

There are some members that have contact every weekend, but you do need to show that you would be flexible on the weekends that she might not work, to allow her to have quality time with your son on those occasions.

If mediation faild or she refused to attend the mediation would sign off the C100 form to enable you to submit an application to court. Here's a link to the mediation services
