I last went to court in November and received an email from Cafcass explaining a S7 will be completed and they will be intouch within 4 weeks.
It is now 10 days before I am due back in court and not heard anything.

My Solicitor said dont worry its not unusual for cafcass to do this, but I have lots I need to discuss and talk about how can anyone write a report or base a decision on information they have only just received or a week before court?

I'm in a similar situation - I'm supposed to write a position statement based upon a welfare report but cafcass have requested an extension to submit that report. If it is submitted on the last day that they've requested I will have two days to submit my statement. I've been told that if I don't feel this is possible I can apply to the courts for an extension of time within which to submit my statement.
